99 Goa | Substack, in Herald Goa today. 1 Full Page & 2 Articles. 2nd in Sunday Review.
Herald Goa publishes articles on Danielle McLaughlin Trial and Waterfall Tourism of Goa.
After 2 Months and 10 days, “99 Goa” has been featured again in Herald Goa today. The first time “99 Goa | Substack” got featured on Herald Goa, was non 14th May.
Today, Herald Goa publishes 2 articles, the one on “Danielle McLaughlin Trial” and one on “Waterfall Tourism” in Goa.
1. The Danielle McLaughlin Trial.
The gruesome rape and murder trial of Irish Girl Danielle McLaughlin has been an absolute nightmare for friends & family of Danielle, and for the victim as well, who is not present here to express his anguish over the apathy.
The trial which started on 6 Years and 20 days ago, on 4th July 2017, has so far been heard 205 times.99 Goa started writing about it on 17th March 2023, and since then, a lot of progress has happened, with Hon’ble High Court of Bombay at Goa, ruling on 17th July 2023, that the trial should be concluded within 1 Year.
2. The state of Tourism in Goa, sans any concrete policy and supervision.
Every MLA and Minister in Government is hell-bent on launching one or other tourism related schemes, by just doing “Keyword Search”. Every other day, one new Tourism related announcement is made, while Goa is already being drowning under the burgeoning load of Tourists, all round the year.
While Infrastructure, Safety and basic amenities for tourists, are long standing standing questions, neither been answered, nor addressed; the appalling fact is that, Government of Goa, does not even have a concrete policy and framework to act on it.
The latest in those scheme of things, when Forest Minister announced a couple of days back, that guided tourism would be available for Tourists to witness “Self-luminescence Mushroom” just been spotted in the Forests.
Unknown Online Journalistic publications, are at massive dis-advantage; compared to established media platforms and outlets, specially Substack; which is almost a “closed publication”.
Even Twitter stopped supporting it, due to launch of “Notes” by Substack. Twitter depreciates any tweet, which has a Substack post link. Google indexing is non-existent for Substack, unless the articles are published or referenced in a major publication, like Herald Goa.
Hence, A Bow and a Hat-Tip and a “Full Salute” to Herald Goa for featuring the articles of 99 Goa.
Together, for a “Better Goa”, which is 99% much more better, than the current state of Goa. AMEN!
Thanks so very much to Herald Goa and Team.
