BRAKING NEEWS : Goa Indigenous Thieves Association (GITA) Chief Architect "Ding Dong Vikas" bares his soul out on Gudi-Paroda theft.
Shri Shri Ding Dong Vikas says association members devastated on the horrifying incident of only Rs.10,000 found in the donation box.
In a horrifying incident reported today, which has sent shock-waves through the diligent and hard-working community of Thieves and Robbers of Goa; a "Donation Box" also known as "Daan-Peti" at a temple at Gudi-Paroda was found to have only Rs.10,000/- cash in it, after a buddy pair of thieves, known as "Amrut-Kaalu" in the close-knit circle, broke it open.
Sources said, that Amrut-Kaalu had done the recce earlier, and found the "Donation Box" to be of ginormous size of 4x3x2 ft; and after calculating the volume of it, determined that, it must be containing Rs.1 Lac and hence worth the effort.
Given the arduous nature of the task, including a steep climb of stairs on the hill, at which the renowned temple stands; and infrequent rains which could descend at any moment; which makes movement slippery and dangerous; the brave duo of "Amrut-Kaalu" went ahead to took the chances, as in the lean months of Monsoon, very few diligent devotees frequent the temple. Also, they wanted to decamp the "Daan Peti / Donation Box" before the temple authorities empty it ahead of Monsoon.
Amrut-Kaalu were hopeful, that with terrible heat and scant water supply, along with frequent and long power cuts in Goa; many devotees would have arrived earlier; praying to Lord Chandreshwar Bhutnath for early and swift relief; offering "Cash Incentives" in return of their prayers being answered quickly.
However, sources say, that they have been utterly disappointed at the turn of events; and have serious doubts on the their choice of vocation and livelihood.Amrut-Kaalu have been found to be weeping, as Rs.10,000 could hardly even buy Fish and Chicken for one month, for their respective families; while they were dreaming to have a comfortable Monsoon ahead.
In an emergency meeting, after "Amrut-Kaalu" reported the sore disappointment; their compatriots and comrades have decided against hunting for "Daan-Peti" / Donation Boxes at Temples, solely based on the size of them. They have also decided to have a longer recce period of the temples, and hiring a statistician who based on many parameters (secret, which has not been divulged) would suggest, on which Temples and Donation Boxes to target. Some were heard arguing for using "Computer Vision" based identification system, via a secretly mounted Camera which would observe the number of devotees entering the temple, and the number of devotees actually putting something inside the "Donation Box".
Sources say, that "Amrut-Kaalu" argued rigorously in the emergency meeting of "Goa Indigenous Thief Association" (GITA); they should be compensated from the emergency corpus of the association.
In an exclusive to 99Goa, Chief Architect and Benevolent Dictator of GITA (Goa Indigenous Thieves Association), Shri Shri "Ding Dong" Vikas bared out his soul, on behalf of the members of the association.
"Ding Dong" Vikas articulated that GITA had high hopes when it was announced by Chief Minister of Goa, Pramod Sawant; that many new temples would be built, even the non-existent ones of Portuguese era; it boosted the morals of GITA members that their dwindling art would finally see the "Vikas". But, it has been a disappointing start.
Shri Shri Ding Dong also said that, while every other tens of Seminars and Conferences are organised all across Goa, the delegates do not visit temples, specially the lesser known and at secluded place, without CCTV cameras.Ding Dong Vikas urged all the future delgates coming to Goa for Seminars to copiously donate in the donation box of such temples.
Taking a dig at Tourism Minister Rohan Khaunte told 99Goa, that "Spiritual and Heritage Tourism" in Goa cannot be materialised if "Donation Boxes" are found to contain only Rs.10,000/-. He said that, The true spiritual tourism can only happen, if Tourists coming to Goa, donate in Cash and Gold with full spirit at various temples.
The Benvolent Dictator of GITA said, that association would soon organise a "Deep Chintan Shivir" to discuss the various issues arising out of this horrifying incident at Pedru Bar, whose location he declined to identify.
Ding Dong Vikas said, that he has high hopes with coming festive season, and the spiritual tide of devotees of Goa, would turn from Shravan.
