Manohar "Bhai" Parrikar & BJP could not even get a decent Police Station planned at Mopa Airport.
Goa Police suffers in silence eating dust, and sweating inside steel-boxes!
Pramod Sawant led BJP Government has been tom-tomming “Mopa International Airport” aka Bhai International Airport as one of their most significant achievement.
While the truth is Government Of Goa, has no rights to claim the same.
Mopa Airport which has been mired in multiple controversy of land grabbing, encroachment, environment destruction , cheating the locals with false promises etc is GMR's achievement and not Goa Government's achievement.
Why?
Look at the Police Station of Mopa Airport, which has been put up haphazardly at the last moment in an obscure place, and Goa policemen have to function sitting inside tin-boxes, well ok, steel boxes.
A project which has been under construction and planning since eons, which includes during the duration of Ex-Chief Minister; could not even provide a suitable and comfortable working and operating environment for the policemen deployed there, who have a very tough job at hand, giving the daily protests and controversies “Bhai Airport” enjoys.
Being Government servants, they do not have the rights to come put openly and sulk, but who would like to be posted there, under the tin-roof? And expect them to do an efficient job?
Manohar Parrikar could not even get a decent police station building built over their, nor did Pramod Sawant so what they are talking about?
Apart from ensuring that GMR is able to complete the project, through all the means available, Pramod Sawant government failedto achieve, one single basic thing which was required.
CISF while handling the inner perimeter, it is actually the Goa Police, which ensures the safety of passengers, to-and-fro from the airport, how can we expect them to function in an efficient manner, eating dust in steel-boxes?
Mr.Rohan Khaunte the esteemed tourism minister almost a month back asked for "8 Days" to solve the so called "teething problems", but since he suffers from amnesia, he has yet to get back.
The "teething problem" does not include the circumstances Goa Police is forced to function at Mopa, obviously.
CM Goa, Pramod Sawant was to held a review meeting for Mopa Airport, after the uproar on various issues, but he is also sleeping.
Policemen of Goa, do not matter?
How can Goa entrust Pramod Sawant (Foster Son of Manohar Parrikar) for their welfare and comfort, when he can’t even ensure the safety & comfort of his own government official?
