Goa Government stands last in the Class of 7, and fails to even pass through exam.
Just released India Justice Report 2022, has finally managed to put some numbers into the thought & belief, that Goa is neither safe, nor there is Justice here. Specially, for foreign travellers..
While on the Overall Index, Goa ranks 7th or last, among all the 7 states; Goa Police ranks 6th among the 7 small states; and it's Judiciary ranks 7th or last.
Share of training in Goa Police budget is measly 0.35%, as has been highlighted earlier.
17.2% and 23.6% posts of Constables and Officers vacant, as on January 2022.
Also, there has been no rise in share of women, among Goa Police.
In Urban area, where most of the crimes happen, there is only 1 Police Station for 146,375 residents, which is highest among the 7 small states. This figure has only increased since 2019,due to migration in Goa. The area served by each Police Station in urban area is also highest among the 7 states at 95.6sq km.
No reason, why everyday tourists are assaulted without any fear of law.

Goa Prison department has 29.6% vacancy for Officers and 31.5% for Cadres staff, as on December 2021. Lack of supervision, and authority over head, leads to all sorts of corrupt practices in Goa Prisons.
20% of Court Judge vacancies are vacant in courts of Goa, as on July 2022.
19% of all cases are pending for, between 5 to 10 Years in Courts of Goa. 5.38% cases are pending for more than 10 Years.
India Justice Report 2022, is the best data-set available on the level of Governance in the state of Goa. After all, providing Safety and Justice is the most important requirement of an able and "good" government.So, in short, Goa or rather Government Of Goa has stood last in the Class, according to India Justice Report 2022. It is highly debatable, whether things will change in future, but hope is a good thing.
