Mhadei was an orphan in Parliament.
3 MPs and not a single question asked about Mhadei in Parliament...
The truth is "Mhadei Issue" was never raised in parliament.
There has not been a single question raised in Parliament about her, during 17th Lok Sabha.
"Jal Shakti" ministry (Central Water Commission, which falls under it’s purview) of has 1,647 questions been raised in Lok Sabha, and not a single one of them is regarding the Mhadei.
The only question asked regarding Goa, in 17th Lok Sabha to the ministry of "Jal Shakti" was an "unstarred" question from Mr.Francisco Sardinha, the MP of South Goa. And that was related to nationalisation of rivers in Goa, way back on 25th July 2019.
While trying to make a search for the number of questions asked by Mr.Shripad Naik, during the present Lok Sabha, the query is returning a null result.
"Question Hour" is the epitome of democracy in Parliament, where the members are supposed to hold the government accountable for their action/inaction. It is also the potent platform to raise issues regarding their own constituency, so that Government's attention can be drawn on it, and made to act, towards it.
Sadly, Mhadei and Goa is still an orphan in Lok Sabha.
There is only one thing which becomes clears from the above stats, that it is empty rhetoric which Mr.Shripad Naik is resorting to now, he never cared; else questions would have been asked in Parliament repeatedly, regarding the resolution of the Mhadei issue, in favour of Goa.
While Mr.Francisco Sardinha cared to question about the postmen working in Goa, he did not raised a single question regarding CWC or Mhadei. And now, Congress Party is making it as a singular failure of Goa BJP.
While it matters, it does not matter as such, but still, the MP in Rajya Sabha from Goa, Mr.Vinay Tendulkar also did not raise any question regarding Mhadei/Mandovi in Parliament.
There are 2 questions asked by him about Goa, out of total 112, and it includes question about "railway projects in Goa" and "Oil and Gas projects in Goa".
What does this all tell about to the people of Goa?
The representatives which they elect to represent their issues and protect them, are actually not doing anything.
