Pramod Baab and "33 Chor" using Colonial era "Divide and Rule" policy in preparation of General Elections in Goa.
The very ethos and principles for which Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj fought and laid down his life, thrown into dustbin for saffronisation of peaceful and tranquil Goa.

A mob of 500 persons belonging to various organisations, primarily affiliated or the subsidiary of ruling party of Goa, BJP descended at Calangute Village Panchayat office on 20th June 2023; and demanded revocation of order of Panchayat, regarding the statue which they had installed illegally at Calangute-Saligao square; and absurdly also demanded an apology for the dismantling/removal of statue order.
The state sponsored terrorism, ended only when the Sarpanch Joseph Sequeira actually apologised to the hooligans, and revoked the order.
“After 60 years, we should wipe out signs of the Portuguese. We need to start afresh. We are celebrating the 75th year of India's independence…how Goa should be and what Goa is going to be when India celebrates 100 years of independence, we have started thinking of it now.” That's what the Chief Minister of Goa said on the 350th anniversary of Shivaji Maharaj's coronation at Betul,in South Goa.

While this has been deeply criticised far-and-wide everywhere; it was a clear signal to everyone, that hard-core saffronisation of Goa was to begin, under the alibi of removing the colonial past; and installing hard-core Hindu communal culture in a peaceful Goa.
The timing was also perfect, just2 days after the anniversary of "Goa Revolution" day. As if to signalling, the dawn of new revolution. But, this time not by the people of Goa for the betterment of the state; but the ruling political party in order to retain and keep power in their hands, in the oncoming elections.
Now if you are BJP ruled state CM; where the predominant culture from centuries have been Christianity, with Hindus living harmoniously along with it, like brothers-from-different-mother; the only way, you can prove your "Total Allegiance" to the Party High Command of BJP; of the likes of Home Minister Amit Shah, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi; is to show your "total commitment" towards furthering the cause of "Hindutva", however shallow the means and ways would be in today's age.
Now, Goa lacks any credible Hindu icon;but surely one can borrow them from neighboring Maharashtra. And then comes, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The "hostage" of present day Hindu extremists; who instead of having conducted themselves on the moral principles laid out by Shivaj Maharaj; do all kinds of immoral activity, in his name; and proclaim themselves "Holier than thou"!
Suddenly, "Shiv Premi" and "Karni Sena" are cropping everywhere like Mushrooms in Monsoon. While, Goa has been reeling without water and electricity;and drowning in garbage and sewage; these same organisations did nothing and kept quiet.
Had they been, real followers and emulators of the principles of Shivaji Maharaj; they would have fought for the various injustices been meted out to their fellow brethren, day-in-and-day-out.
Nor these followers of Shivaji, who stood for "righteousness" always, are doing anything, when Manipur is being burnt, innocent people are being slaughtered and burnt.Apparently, their standing of ethos and principles of "Shivaji" is restricted to installing statue, and turning a blind eye to everything else.
Putting a cause, anything related to Hindutva even remotely; works hugely in favour of the BJP led government of Goa; because it just does not just distract and side-tracks the burning issues facing the state; it also makes the scant opposition in the state; virtually toothless.
No Political party has condemned or came out strongly in the opposition of shameless illegal and mildly violent attack, all in the garb of religious sentiments.
BJP long knows that where everything else fails, then stoking the "nationalism" and "Hindutva" sentiments would work; and in the process of working towards the next year General Elections, they have started working together earnestly, by first stoking Portuguese v/s Aboriginal Goan statements; and then this state sponsored and supported attack on the civil structure of the state.
Had this been done by people belonging to any other religion, the disputed structure would have been bulldozed down by now; with several arrests being made,FIRs being filed against them. But when, You have ruling party as BJP in power, there can be obviously two yard-sticks of judgment.
Chief Minister led BJP government of Goa and the other stooge MLAs, who jump in and jump out like Frogs and Rats, from one political party to another; surprisingly directly and indirectly using the same Colonial rule of occupiers of centuries ago, "Divide and Rule"; while talking about erasing all the Colonial era memories.
The biggest and gravest memory which has to be erased of Colonial era is "Divide and Rule", which still is being used by those in Power, everywhere in Inda, with impunity for their own political and financial advantage.
