Welcome To The Jungle, which Goa has become, as "Bulldozer Raj" begins!
Helpless Goans, Toothless MLA, Toothless DGP of Police and Toothless Government; in front of Anjuna Police Inspector, Prashal Dessai; who runs his own fiefdom with impunity.

In an outrageous and brazen incident which has sent the shockwaves across the state, an aboriginal Goan family of Assagao was thrown out of their home, with muscle power, their home bulldozed; while Goa Police from Anjuna Police Station, clearly hand in gloves with the perpetrators.
North Goa, specially the prime Touristic belt along the coast, has become Mini NCR - Noida - Gurgaon.
Even after the burgeoning land prices, across Assagao, Siolim and at Mandrem, across Chapora; for the wealthy from North, the land prices remains peanuts, compared to prices prevailing in Gurgaon and nearby areas.
While earlier, the Modus operandi had been for these people to bribe the local Panchayat and Sarpanch, along with the TCP (Town and Country Planning Department) officials and get the land for their commercial projects for resorts and hotels; the water has clearly started flowing above the nose, as highlighted by yesterday's infamous and gross incident.
These people from North India and elsewhere, believe that anything can be achieved in Goa through the rule of money. The use of muscle power and brazenness was absent and though the scant regards towards the aboriginal people of the land was constantly diminishing on a logarithmic scale, there was still some left.
Yesterday's incident at Assagao has shown that, these "Outsiders" are now hell bent on making Goa, another Gurgaon.
Throw money, use muscle power, pocket the Police and what had been possible in Gurgaon, is now also possible in Goa.
To bulldozed the home of an aboriginal Goan family, who had been residing in the said home, for past more than 20 years; takes a hell lot of galls and balls; and it clearly shows the mentality of kind of people who have been arriving in Goa, for quite some time.
Used to their ways of doing and plotting the scheme of things in NCR and Gurgaon; they now have the audacity to employ the same tricks here in Goa.
The question which needs to be asked; from those in power, the rulers and Goa Police; how these people have become so atrocious; unless they know that they are in safe hands and can have their way?
The conduct of highly infamous, maligned and corrupt Anjuna Police, in the whole episode, clearly reveals; the Nexus between those in Power and Outsiders, who have enough money to rule over, everyone in the administration and government of Goa.
What is mid boggling is that when Anjuna Police should have acted instantly to protect their own brethren, they took sides of the perpetrators?
Would the Bouncers, the JCB Operators would have had the courage to act with so much impunity, unless they had been assured by their Master; that nothing would happen, go and do your outrageous act, in the broad daylight?
And that, Anjuna Police is, for us, with us, always.
If Goa Police is not even for the aboriginals of Goa, then whom, they are serving?
The Motto of Goa Police is : Shanti, Nyay, Seva ; which stands for Peace, Justice and Service. Ironically, all three were absent during the proceedings at Assagao in the conduct of Anjuna Police.
Much maligned, for its cronyism and siding with Night Clubs, Party organisers, Hotels, Peddlers and other such Touristic ventures; while acting blind and deaf towards the residents of Anjuna, Vagator, Assagao; and even not obeying the Order passed by Honourable High Court of Bombay at Goa (on noise pollution case); the gross misconduct of Anjuna Police in yesterday's incident is actually not surprising. It would have been otherwise, then it would have been Surprising.
What is noteworthy is that despite gazillion of such instances, not only the Director General of Police Goa is toothless, but the local elected representatives and the Government of Goa (Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, is also the Home Minister) too.
And, Anjuna Police continues to act as a fiefdom of one person Police Inspector, Prashal Dessai; who is untouchable.
Why and who is protecting him, is anybody's guess and a simple one.
Anyone who has seen the degradation and change in topography, as well as demography of Siolim Constituency in past decades or so, can easily guess it.
This leaves another question, where would Goan aboriginals go, if their home of 20 Years can be bulldozed in broad daylight, with the help of those very personnel, who are supposed to protect their rights and are paid for it?
How many people can knock the doors of local MLA and how many times the local MLA can arrive running to help?
On 18th June, the Goa Revolution Day; which is celebrated by every Tom, Dick and Harry.of Goa Government and administration, who know nothing about word "revolution" and what it actually means, in either thought or deeds; who act very opposite of the solemn word; a few Civil activists gave a call for "Second Revolution of Goa" in in order to save the soul and identity of Goa.
To save the Goans from the onslaught of merciless cronyism in the name of "Development" or Vikas
Many people deliberated on it, and calling it frivolous "cry" as, everything is well in Goa.
Ironically, the first Revolution of Goa was against foreign powers; and now things have come to such a state, that it had to be against the Crony powers, apathetic Governance and Wheeler-Dealers; who have no love for the land.
Surely, everything is well in Goa; but only for the Rulers, those Patrems who have made it big through Tourist related business or selling their land to Outsiders, and those in Power or Governance.
What happens to a common ordinary Goan, is too starkly visible from yesterday's incident of Assagao.
It's about time for a Second Revolution, to be lead by ordinary common Goans, so that they can preserve their land, forests and livelihood. So that, whatever is left of Goa can be preserved for the generations to come. So that Kiddos of today, could still proudly call Goa their HOME, 20 years hence.
So that, Goa does not become another Uttar Pradesh or Gurgaon, where Bulldozers rule the roost.
